Well the contest if over and I did not win any prize :( But I did come 12th place out of 22 which isn't bad.
There were designers in the contest that have been designing a lot longer then me and I feel in good company. We had to work with colors and themes that the contest required and these are the kits I came up with:

Hi
I have been missing in action for a while. I just finished the Designers Contest at Ivy Scraps and now have the time to get back to designing. New kit already started and looking forward to posting it soon.
During the time I was gone I was also busy making scrapbooks for the Augusta Riverhawks Hockey Team and now that is over too. We had a banquet last weekend and presented the books to the players. Now I have time for myself! YEA!

Ivy Scraps Designer Contest

The designer contest starts on Valentine's Day!
I already have a jump start on it and finished my first weeks kit. I will probably go back and change something, that's the best part of doing it early. They give us the type of kit, this one is "Daddy and Me", the colors to use and what/how many of items they want in the kit.

It's been awhile

Well, the holidays are over and it's cold here and we had snow twice. Very unusal for this area of the South.
I have taken time off from all my creative team duties at the stores I do this work for.

What I have been up to is DESIGNING KITS! I finally decided, with the help of Ivy Scraps to do this.
It's not as easy getting a full kit together as I thought. I have always made quite a few of my own items but this is different.

When the kits are posted in Ivy Scraps store I will let you know.

Summer in South Carolina

It has been hot, hot, hot! Everyday the temp reaches 99+. Today it's suppose to be around 104, just like yesterday. It's a good thing we have airconditioning or we would be in a lot of trouble. I'm a hot natured person to begin with, my Dad used to say "You ratiate heat" and it's true. Even our dog doesn't want to lay next to me in bed. I hate to see our electric bill next month, probably will have to take out a loan to pay it LOL!

But I keep cool by staying in the house and creating layouts. I have done a few this week as a guest CT and I love it. Check out my site at Photobucket to see what I create:

Wow am I excited. Got picked to be on the Creative Team for Scraps With A Mouse. I love creating new layouts and this is the perfect way to do it. You get free kits to work with and it's fun to create layouts with different designers kits.

My DH bought me a new toy..... A Craft Robo
If you don't know what this is I will try to explain.

The Craft Robo hooks up to your computer and it allows you to CUT out any design you want.
You can use templates that you download for free or use any picture,elements etc. that you want to make a cut out of. You can also make gift boxes, pop up cards and a lot of other items. It uses paper, vinyl, cling vinyl and so many other mediums. You don't have to buy dies or such. Just buy the Craft Robo and that's it. What you do with it is up to you.

IT IS SOOOO.. NEAT!!!!!
